A free family concert at the Amersham Festival where children can discover the magic of the orchestra through Benjamin Britten’s lively Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra, performed by the Orchestra of the City. 22 March at 4 pm.

Families are warmly invited to a free children’s concert at the Amersham Festival on Sunday, 22 March at 4 pm, featuring The Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra by Benjamin Britten.

Performed by the acclaimed Orchestra of the City, this special family event brings a full 50-piece symphony orchestra to Amersham for an engaging and interactive musical experience. The concert will be narrated by award-winning actor Richard McCabe, helping young audiences discover the magic behind orchestral music.

Children will hear the extraordinary sounds of strings, woodwind, brass and percussion, meet the musicians, and explore how each instrument contributes to the orchestra. It’s a lively and inspiring introduction to classical music for curious young listeners.

Tickets are free, but seats must be booked online.
Adults must attend with a child.
