On Saturday 28 February 2026, an evening of exceptional piano music awaits with a recital by rising pianist Amiri Harewood.

We are delighted to present this year’s piano recital, given by the outstanding rising pianist Amiri Harewood.
The programme brings together music by three composers who were each deeply inspired by and influenced by Johann Sebastian Bach.

About the Artist

Amiri Harewood performs regularly across the UK and internationally. He is currently undertaking postgraduate studies at the Royal College of Music under the tutelage of Danny Driver, having previously studied at the Trinity Music Academy with Richard Evans.

An alumnus of the Trinity Music Academy, Amiri has given solo recitals at leading venues including Steinway Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, the Institut Français, Bishopsgate Institute, and the Royal Albert Hall as part of the Steinway Young Artist Series. He has also appeared on BBC Radio London.

Internationally, his performances include recitals at the Conservatorio in Venice and the Mozart Music Festival in Forlì, Italy. He has worked with distinguished musicians such as Inon Barnatan, Vanessa Latarche, and Trio Shaham–Erez–Wallfisch.

Amiri’s concerto debut at the Royal Festival Hall with Chineke! The orchestra was widely acclaimed:

He was also selected as one of the first Tabor Piano Ambassadors for the Leeds International Piano Competition, representing the Royal College of Music and contributing to its education and outreach initiatives.

Before turning exclusively to the piano, Amiri sang as a treble with the renowned Trinity Boys Choir until the age of 14, performing in opera productions at Glyndebourne, the Royal Opera House, Garsington Opera, and English National Opera. He has appeared at the Aldeburgh Festival and Amina Mundi Festival in Pisa with the Monteverdi Choir and Sir John Eliot Gardiner, and toured Japan in 2015.
