A collection of over 30 historic buildings, rebuilt at the Chiltern Open Air Museum
The Chiltern Open Air Museum was opened in 1976 and comprises over 30 culturally or historically significant buildings, including a one-room schoolhouse, blacksmith’s forge, farmhouse, iron-age roundhouse, earthen cottage, Victorian toll house, and wartime Nissen huts. The site also boasts an apple and cherry orchard, arts and crafts garden, and a wartime allotment.
The museum has been used as a filming location for shows such as Downtown Abbey, and for Pagan May Day celebrations.
Visit the museum any time between the end of March and the end of October.
