Discover Your Taste: Mystery Wine Night with Amersham Wine Club on the 15th of January in Old Amersham

Amersham Wine Club was born to change that.

Founded by local couple Rob and Melanie, the club started with one simple mission: to help people discover wine they actually enjoy — not what the label, price tag, or self-proclaimed wine expert tells them they should like. It’s about making wine feel approachable, enjoyable, and, most importantly, personal.

At the heart of the club is Mystery Wine Night, a fun and relaxed blind tasting event. What does that mean? The labels are hidden, all you’re told is whether the wine is red, white, or rosé. That’s it. You swirl, sip, and savour without preconceptions. The result? You learn to trust your own taste buds and discover styles you may never have picked off the shelf.

Each event features:

  • Six carefully selected wines

  • Expert guidance (but no wine snobbery!)

  • Delicious nibbles to keep your palate happy

  • A welcoming, social atmosphere in one of Amersham’s cosiest pubs

Rob, the man behind the wine magic, knows how it feels to be unsure where to start. That’s exactly why he trained with the WSET (Wine & Spirit Education Trust), one of the world’s most respected wine education bodies, to better understand wine and share that knowledge in a down-to-earth, no-pressure way.
