There’s something really lovely happening on the second Wednesday of every month at 7 pm at our Italian wine bar and bookshop in Old Amersham, and if you’re into good books and even better wine, this one’s worth knowing about.

At UNDICI, their monthly Book Club brings together a small group of people for a relaxed evening of conversation, stories, and a glass of something nice in hand.

In August, we’ll be discussing Atmosphere by Taylor Jenkins Reid — an unforgettable novel set against the exhilarating backdrop of NASA’s Space Shuttle programme in the 1980s.

At its heart, Atmosphere is a story about ambition, love, friendship and the extraordinary risks we take for the lives we want. Blending historical detail with deeply human relationships, Taylor Jenkins Reid explores what it means to reach for something bigger than yourself—while reminding us that the greatest journeys are often the emotional ones.

Beautifully written, immersive and impossible to put down, it’s a novel that leaves plenty to talk about long after the final page.
