A centuries-old tradition brought to life on 10 May at 2 pm, join Chesham Bois’ Beating the Bounds for a scenic and sociable walk through local history.

Step into a local tradition that’s been part of parish life for centuries.

Beating the Bounds’ returns to Chesham Bois on Sunday 10 May, offering a chance to walk the historic boundaries of the parish in good company. It’s a relaxed, sociable afternoon with a story to it, once a way of helping communities quite literally remember where they belonged, with some rather memorable methods for the children along the way.

Today, it’s a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the countryside, learn a little local history, and be part of something that has been passed down through generations.

The walk starts at the Parish Centre at 2 pm. Sensible footwear is recommended, as the route includes footpaths, stiles and a few steeper sections.
