Join us on Friday, 5th December, as the celebrations begin at 4pm and continue through the evening until 8pm, when the festival winds down and the roads reopen at 10pm.
Stroll through the Artisan Christmas Market, beautifully curated by Coopers Markets, showcasing local makers, artists, and independent businesses offering unique festive gifts and treats. Enjoy late-night shopping from Amersham’s much-loved boutiques and shops, perfect for finding something special this Christmas.
The evening will be filled with entertainment for all ages — from Father Christmas and his live reindeer to performances by the Amersham Band and Rock Choir, plus a live broadcast from Chiltern Voice capturing the festive spirit. Families can enjoy the vintage funfair, join in with Christmas carols by the tree alongside St Mary’s School children, and visit Scannappeal’s Golden Tombola and warm space in the Market Hall for a comforting hot chocolate.
At 6pm, the highlight of the evening — the Christmas lights switch-on at the Market Square — will dazzle the crowd and officially welcome the festive season.
With free parking available in the Town Council car park, delicious street food, and festive music filling the air, this is a truly magical event that celebrates everything wonderful about Amersham at Christmas.
