Historically, Amersham is a market town with a regular market held beneath Old Amersham’s Market Hall since the building was gifted to the townsfolk by Sir William Drake in 1682. Now, Old Amersham hosts a weekly market every Saturday from 9am to 4pm under the Market Hall.
