Award-winning Amersham A Cappella bring powerful close-harmony vocals and an uplifting, feel-good set to Chesham Fringe on the 23rd of May at 1 pm

On 23 May, at 1 pm, as part of this year’s Chesham Fringe, Amersham A Cappella take to the stage with a special ensemble performance, and if you haven’t heard them before, this is a very good place to start.

This is a women’s chorus of around 80 voices, performing a cappella in rich four-part harmony. Their sound moves effortlessly from pop and rock covers to film themes, contemporary arrangements and beautifully delivered ballads, all without instrumental backing.

Their focus is simple: to entertain, lift the room and create a real connection with the audience, and they do it exceptionally well.

The group has built an impressive reputation, most recently winning the 2024 National Gold Medal, and in summer 2025, they represented the UK in Denver, USA, competing at the Barbershop Harmony Society International Chorus Contest alongside world-class ensembles.

Beyond the accolades, what really defines them is the energy on stage: polished, confident, but clearly rooted in a genuine love of performing together.

This Chesham Fringe appearance features a smaller ensemble from the chorus, bringing a fresh selection of songs in a more intimate setting, while keeping that same full, layered sound they’re known for.

If you’re in the mood for something live, uplifting, and just a bit different from the usual, this one is well worth catching.
