​Step into Spring with the 14th Chilterns Walking Festival

From 10 May to 1 June 2025, the Chilterns Walking Festival returns with over 60 guided walks and outdoor events, offering a unique opportunity to explore the stunning landscapes of the Chilterns. Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a casual stroller, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.

The festival’s diverse programme includes walks through beech woodlands, nature reserves, and along chalk streams. Highlights feature routes centred around Iron Age hillforts, farm and foodie walks, filming locations, and more, all led by knowledgeable guides.

Local Highlights

Amersham Museum is contributing several walks to the festival, such as the “Plants and Places: An Amersham Amble” on 17 May, a gentle 1.5-mile walk exploring local flora and the history of Old Amersham. 

Special Events

Don’t miss unique experiences like the “Ivinghoe Views Walk and Painting Workshop” on 17 May, combining a scenic walk with a watercolour workshop led by local artist Jay Nolan-Latchford.
