Join the Little Missenden's Festival of Music and the Arts from the 4th to 13th October.

The village of Little Missenden has hosted a Festival of Music and the Arts every October since 1960, excepting 2020. This year the 64th Festival will be held from the 4th to 13th October.

As always, there will be a stimulating variety of events with performances of the highest artistic quality held in the perfect acoustics and evocative surroundings of the 10th-century church of St John the Baptist.

The festival has from the beginning been rooted in the local community. Most of the audience comes from nearby, with villagers themselves welcoming the opportunity to offer hospitality to our performers by way of food and accommodation. This year there is a particular focus on young artists and on performers new to the festival. It will include such pleasures as a recital of baroque arias with Helen Charlston, Folk with Cara Dillon, Jazz with Nikki Yeoh, the Victoria Requiem, Messiaen’s Quartet for the End of Time, French piano trios, a variety of string quartets, a clutch of first performances including a festival commission, our usual art and literature lectures and, a first for the festival, an evening of Blues.
