Exclusive Gaja Wine Dinner Event in Artichoke restaurant

We are extremely proud to invite you to Artichoke restaurant’s exclusive event this Autumn in collaboration with the distinguished wine merchant VinumTerra – importer of wine unique to the UK, specialising in small to medium-sized estates, often family-owned and operated for generations.

On this occasion, we are delighted to present to you one of the most renown wine producers in Italy, Gaja – originally from the Langhe in the Piedmont region, was founded in 1859 by Giovanni Gaja and
consecutively grew in size, production and quality over the years thanks to the family’s uncompromising believes.

Angelo Gaja, great-grandson of the founder, introduced several practices and experiments that were revolutionary to the production of their wines, producing tremendous results.
In 1994 Gaja acquired its first property in Tuscany, opening the door to the “Super Tuscan” production.
Since 2004, the figurehead of the Gaja vineyard together with the sister Rossana and the brother Giovanni is Gaia Gaja.

The evening will commence with a prestigious
Cuvee del Fondatore Valdobbiadene DOCG Brut Merotto reception
accompanied with a collection of snacks followed by our bespoke
Michelin starred Five-Course Tasting Menu 
centred around the delectable abundance of seasonal produce.

Each course, paired in harmony with a selection of Gaja’s greatest wines introduced by 
Francesca Cioce, Gaja Family Ambassador, who we are truly honoured to welcome to the Artichoke.
In addition, we are delighted to have on board Matteo Scaccabarozzi, (now of VinumTerra),
our former RM/Sommelier who many of you will fondly remember, for a special partnership for the evening alongside
our fabulous Restaurant Manager/Sommelier, Valentin.

Please note, a 50% deposit per person is kindly requested to hold all reservations, which will be deducted from your bill.

The deposit will be non-refundable with less than 1 week notice, at the discretion of the restaurant.

Spaces will be limited so we advise to book early to avoid disappointment – this will truly be an exceptional event!

There will also be an opportunity to purchase the wines at a special rate as a memento to savour over the coming winter months.
